Vinicius Jr Extends Apology to The Madrid Club Supporters
Vinicius Jr has registered 5 finishes in ten La Liga appearances so far this term.
Los Merengues forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his conduct when taken off in Sunday's fiery El Clasico win.
He was taken off in the 72nd minute and showed his frustration by heading directly off the pitch.
He later returned to the bench and, after his club's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach the opposition's opposing player during contentious post-match incidents.
"This day I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was taken off in the Clasico," the player wrote on X.
"Just as I have previously expressed during the latest practice, I would like to express regret anew to my colleagues, the organization, and the leadership.
"Occasionally emotion overcomes me because I always want to win and assist my club. My determined nature originates in the passion I hold for this institution and all it represents."
Vinicius joined Real from his former club in recent years for £38.7m and has accumulated over a century of strikes in numerous matches.
But his prospects in the La Liga is unclear with speculation in the past few months suggesting that Real would contemplate permitting the young star move on if they obtained a suitable offer.
When he was replaced on the match day, broadcast footage from broadcaster Dazn captured him saying: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's preferable if I go, I'm going."
In his new statement on X, Vinicius said: "I commit to keep striving constantly for the good of Real Madrid, as I have performed since the very beginning."
