The alleged shooter in the shooting is reported to have succumbed from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to American news outlets. Officials stated that the danger had been resolved

Pennsylvania Governor the state leader mentioned he was en route to the site in the township of North Codorus, approximately 160 kilometers east Philly

"I was informed on the situation involving police in York County, and I'm heading there at this time," he wrote on a public forum

"We request those in the area to please follow the instructions of nearby authorities," he emphasized

Footage from the location showed a law enforcement member being airlifted out of the scene in a medical helicopter

The event prompted a nearby school district in a small community, PA—a community of roughly 2,500 residents—to temporarily stay inside. The school officials subsequently said that the school had not been involved
